Obviously the first step is to turn on "Survivor Mode" as well as put the difficulty to Expert and enable Permadeath It puts you on par with the enemies and gives you that incredibly grim feeling that 'hey, I'm a pre-historic human being who isn't a tank and can take maybe one spear to the body before dying'.
Or at least it would be if Far Cry Primal wasn’t so damn easy. Anyone expecting a challenge will have to force one out of this game, intentionally keeping yourself low level or not upgrading skills, as it’s arguably the easiest Far Cry game to date (an update after release has seen a survival mode added which does up the difficulty).
My apologies for the inconvenience that the tutorials aren't showing at your chosen difficulty. I appreciate the feedback on this! As you'll know, Primal is fairly old, so changes to it are unlikely, but we're always keen to keep player comments about this sort of thing in mind during development of our upcoming titles :)
I've been playing Far Cry Primal on expert, survivor, permadeath for ages now. I've lost count of the amount of times I've died, and the number of hours (days) I've actually put into it. So I ve decided to take matters into my own hands, refusing to let my Far Cry Primal caveman experience be watered down and Ubi-softened up by the conveniences of modern games. I ll be playing the game on Hard, with no Hunter Vision, and no mini-map, detection meter or health bar.
